Product Specification
The lifting clutch also called the DogBone Lifting Clutch. It consists of around the main body with a protruding lever arm and a high strength bail. The main body has a "T" slot that engages the head of a DogBone lifting Anchor. The combined rotation capabilities of the main body and the bail allows a precast panel to be lifted, turned, tilted, and/or rotated while under load. Donrex Ring Clutch consists of a shackle and a clutch head, the shackle is free to move in any direction.
The clutch in each load group matches the shape of the recess former and incorporates a locking bolt which engages in the head of the cast-in lifting anchor. The Ring clutches are clearly matched to the lifting anchors by compatible design as well as by marking the anchor types and load groups. Only matching components will fit together
When the head of the lifting clutch inserted into the recess and anchor head, the bolt will lock down the anchor from the head of the lifting clutch. The lifting clutch casting head needs to special head treatment to improve mechanical behavior. The forged bolt needs the same materials as the head. The lifting clutch hook was made with enough thickness and high strength steel. The lifting clutch hook welded needs high quality and deeply to approval with X-ray machinery.
What Materials made of Lifting Clutch?
By Precision Casting and Forged, Donrex Precast produced CE certified lifting clutch (ring clutch) with high-grade 35CrMoV special casting head clutch and forged bolt, to ensure stable quality and high performance. Super Cast Alloy Locking Ring. Lifting Ring is Forged Alloy Steel. 100% Crack Tested. Safety Factor 5:1.
Concrete Lifting Clutches have been exclusively designed and approved for use with Lifting Anchors.
They are available in a range of Working Load Limits.
They have been designed so that they cannot spontaneously disengage whilst the system is under load at any orientation, provided they are connected to the head of the correct anchor in the recess. When the lift is complete and the load released, the clutch is quickly and simply disengaged.
Identification markings are required for the Lifting Eye to comply with AS 3850 - 2003.
The Lifting Eye must be proof load tested every 12 months in accordance with AS 3850-2003.
The Lifting Eye has a FOS (factor of safety) of no less than 5 in accordance with AS 3850 - 2003.
Surface Treatment and protection for clutch
self-colored and protection with Hot dipped galvanized, electro galvanized, Spray Painting, such as yellow, depends on customers' detailed request.
Marked with Brand, Working Load Limit, Batch Number, traceable on quality, and very useful for workers' operation. Special specifications and marks can be made according to customers' requirements

How to use the precast lifting clutch and lifting anchor to lift up the panel?
Lifting Clutch is attached to the lifting anchor by lowering the clutch slot over the anchor; then rotation the clutch tab until it rests on the concrete surface.
The load is raised, anchor takes the full of tension.
As the panel rotates to the vertical position, the clutch comes in contact with the concrete surface; this transfers the lifting force into the concrete; the anchor prevents the clutch from slipping out of the void
Lifting away from the tab is also safe provided the tab does not rise more than 30° from the concrete surface.
